Starbucks will reintroduce its Unicorn Frappuccino for a single weekend, with the drink set to be available globally on August 15 and 16. This limited-time offering marks the return of the beverage, which first appeared in 2017 and achieved significant popularity.
A Viral Sensation
The Unicorn Frappuccino became a viral phenomenon shortly after its initial launch nine years ago. Its vibrant appearance and unique flavour profile contributed to widespread social media attention and made it one of the coffee chain's most discussed creations. The drink is characterised by a blend of mango with a blue drizzle, topped with whipped cream and a sweet and tart pink and blue topping. Starbucks has indicated that the drink offers a colour-changing experience and a transformation of flavours.

Global Availability and Teasers
While the original launch primarily focused on the US market, this year's global release is set to include locations across the US, Canada, Mexico, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Although specific UK participation and pricing have not yet been confirmed by Starbucks, the inclusion of Europe suggests that customers in the UK may be able to purchase the drink. Starbucks initially teased the drink's comeback on Instagram on June 2 with a post captioned "Coming this summer," which garnered substantial engagement online. The beverage also made a brief appearance earlier this year at the Coachella music festival, fuelling speculation about a broader relaunch.
