The London Borough of Harrow has significantly invested in its parks and open spaces since 2022. These investments have led to tangible improvements, including upgraded playgrounds, enhanced sports facilities, better landscaping, biodiversity projects, and improved accessibility for residents. This focus on parks aims to enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of residents and provide quality spaces for families.

As reported by the Harrow Times, maintenance budgets were reportedly among the first areas targeted for cuts during periods of financial difficulty. This led to a decline in park conditions, with fewer parks holding Green Flag awards prior to the recent improvements.
