A burst water main on Spur Road in Edgware caused flooding on the morning of July 28, 2026. The incident led to the closure of Spur Road to eastbound traffic between the A5 Stonegrove and Edgware Way. Properties within postcodes HA8, WD6, WD7, and NW7 experienced disruptions to their water supply, with some homes and gardens experiencing flooding. Bus routes 107 and 142 were rerouted as a result of the closure.

Disruption and Repairs

Affinity Water engineers were on-site to address the burst pipe. Traffic experienced delays, with congestion reported on surrounding routes, including the A41 and Brockley Hill.
