Finchley residents see two WWI transport workers' memorials unveiled

On 23 October 2026 two restored war memorials were unveiled in Finchley to honour First World War transport workers from the Metropolitan Electric Tramways Finchley Depot and the London General Omnibus Company Hendon Garage. The ceremony at St Kilda United Services Club was attended by Mayor Zahra Beg and Deputy Lieutenant Martin Russell, with restoration led by Doug Rose and backed by transport heritage groups.
