Hampstead Heath Land Linked to Slave Trade Funds

Research commissioned by the City of London Corporation has revealed that part of Hampstead Heath, specifically Parliament Hill Fields, was purchased in the 19th century with funds indirectly linked to the slave trade. The findings are part of a wider report on the Corporation's historical ties to the trade, due for publication in September.
