Burnham launches £31bn submarine programme phase

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is launching the next phase of the £31bn Dreadnought-class submarine replacement programme in Barrow-in-Furness. New contracts totalling £8.4bn are expected to create 18,000 jobs by 2030 and 22,000 apprenticeships by 2035.
